Game-Changers

Biblical Leadership

Genesis 2:15 God tells man to protect and cultivate the Garden. We as men are called to protect and cultivate the garden we’ve been placed in. Very simply, we are to protect our families, our churches, and our communities. We are also called to work to provide an environment that cultivates life, growth, and opportunities.

To achieve these two goals, we also need to be aware we have an enemy set on preventing these things from happening.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

To protect our environment from an evil one, we need wisdom and guidance.

We believe wisdom and direction comes from God’s word, His Spirit, and His people.

Because of this, we believe men should be in God’s word, connected to God’s people, and full of God’s Spirit.

We believe this happens in simple ways.

  1. Personal devotion to God’s word.
  2. Devoted prayer life.
  3. Leading yourself and your family in seeking God’s will and direction for your life through spiritual practices such as; reading, prayer, serving.
  4. Being a faithful, contributing member of a local church body.
  5. Being committed to a group of men seeking God together.

In an effort to see men leading themselves and their families biblically, we offer larger scale gatherings to gather, connect, and be encouraged by the testimony of other men. These events happen every couple of months.

We encourage and help coordinate small group gatherings, bible studies, book studies, and groups that target specific interventions such as addiction.

In addition to recruiting (outreach) and training (discipleship), we offer opportunities to serve on the ‘battlefield.’ Our first priority of service from God is our family, then our church, and then our community.

Two specific target priorities for the men of Game-Changers for the immediate future are to address child abuse and addiction.

Game-Changers is unattached to any one specific church but works in partnership with a network of churches that teach the bible and have shared priorities and beliefs.
